Mia joined the porn industry after she was introduced to it by the adult film actress Natasha Malkova, who a school friend of hers. The rest is a history. Today Mia is represented by the agency Matrix Models. Even though Mia is an American, she decided to use the stage name Mia Malkova in order to make it sound more Russian or more like European model, as she claims. Before she became Mia Malkova, she was performing under several different pseudonyms such as Mia Bliss, Madison Swan or Mia Mountain. She is of German, Irish and Canadian descendant.

Her performances were rewarded with Twisty’s Treat of the Month – December 2012 and Twistys Treat of the Year 2013. Last year she won several AVN Awards such as Best New Starlet and Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene for Meow! Last year was her year apparently because she also won the 2014 XRCO Award for the movie titled Cream Dream.
